A continuation unavoidably conveys the things of desire, particularly if the initial segment has been a colossal achievement. In spite of some great exhibitions, Sujoy Ghosh's 'Kahaani 2' neglects to pack the punch of its prequel. There is a gigantic develop of suspicion, yet without a result.

The principal half of Vidya Sinha's (Vidya Balan) story weaves enough interest to keep you snared till the interim. After the interim the plot slips into an anticipated direction, the grasp of the tight tension relaxing once in a while. As the pace loosens, you doubt the thought processes of the characters and think about whether the conspicuous escape clauses will in the end be stopped. Tsk-tsk, that never happens.

The commence is dull, exasperating and inherently wretched. There's nothing as upsetting as the unsettling and instinctual worry that a six-year-old is the casualty of sexual manhandle. The acknowledgment that the culprit is a relative abandons one all the more defenseless, in light of the fact that without solid verification there is no real way to lessen or even stand up to the provocation. Pedophilia and the haplessness of a youngster to manage it quickly provokes your hatred and strives for your sympathy.

The gathering of people is likewise inquisitive to know more about this lady – Durga Rani Singh otherwise known as Vidya Sinha – who develops as the sole gatekeeper of the bugged kid. Durga conveys a weight however she appears to be so terrified by her past that it is in some cases hard to trust that she's totally objective about taking care of the issue.

While this cumulates step by step into a connecting with thriller, the thought process behind the activities of the fundamental reprobate in the second half – when he, for no intelligent reason, returns to the youngster casualty following eight years have passed – doesn't exactly include. This alone makes the peak oversimplified and slightly thought up.

What makes this thriller watchable is the execution of the lead cast. Vidya Balan is a characteristic as the marginally incautious and fidgety mother, willing to go to any length to ensure her little girl. The typically stoic Arjun Rampal is powerful as the cop with a past, excessively enthusiastic, making it impossible to get advancement and apparently excessively withdrew from the procedures. It is a disclosure to see Jugal Hansraj play such a persuading reprobate – the lovable kid artiste has for sure made considerable progress – who is really hostile in his smooth symbol.

'Kahaani 2' is certainly watchable, however it does not have the sudden stunning exhibition of its prequel.
